There are so many ways to display your jewelry! This can be a huge topic because there really is such variety and everyone is different!
There are some guildelines that can increase your sales, but otherwise, the choices are all yours!

Because you want to plan to hold your launch party as soon as your starter kit arrives (discussed more on the "Parties" page), deciding on your display is pretty important and something you can get done while waiting for your kit to arrive!

Initially, you can run out and buy all sorts of display items, pegboard and more, or you can think "outside the box" too! There are a multitude of items that can be used creatively as a display!!!

For example, would you think of using paperclips or curtain/drapery hooks to hang your jewelry?  In other words, you don't have to go into debt with fancy displays immediately...work your way up to them if you want.

What about using a wire trashcan from your local dollar store turned upside down?
Pick up a fireplace screen from a yardsale or a coffee cup holder from a thrift store! DIY projects are easy, inexpensive and can help you have a cute and unique setup for your jewelry.
Then as time passes, you can decide if you want to keep it that way or change it.
One Consultant used a screen door she had in her basement. She cleaned it up, put a little paint on it and she used paper clips to hang the jewelry on it. It was super cute! It was eye-catching and a conversation starter and people LOVED it!
It brought attention which then of course sold the jewelry!
The MOST IMPORTANT THING is to plan to display it....PERIOD.... in order to share it with your friends, family and everyone you come in contact with!!! Don't use "not having a display" or "not having a 'fancy' display" as an excuse to not share your jewelry as soon as it arrives!!!
Always display like colors together! You'll see this on various pictures I'll be sharing here as well. Keep all the silver pieces together, all the reds together, all the purples together...you get the idea. This makes it easier for everyone on so many levels.
1. It makes it easier for your shoppers to see all your pieces and shop for their preferred colors or if they searching for a particular color to match a new outfit.

2. It makes it easier for you to "upsell" - offer matching accessories to something a customer has chosen.

3. It makes it easier for you to keep your inventory organized and know when you need to order more of a certain color.

4. A question often asked is if certain colors should go next to each other? Personally, I usually roll with the "rainbow" look.

(My "typical" setup starts with silver, silver/gray, gray/black then black & gunmetal. After that, I usually put my multi-color pieces so they stand out a bit. Then I just sort of start my "rainbow of color"....pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. I also will put the gold all together, followed by the other "metals"...copper, brass and then brown.)
Using the color wheel as a guide is a great way to go.
The colors opposite each other on the color wheel, compliment each other and should be next to each other.
So (like Christmas) red next to green, (think of spring) purple next to yellow and (football Denver Broncos) blue next to orange.

Regardless of how you choose to display your pieces, just put all the same colors together, making them easy for your customers to find.

5. If you hang your pieces (whether on pegboard or something else), make sure your "background" is a solid color. A neutral color is best: gray, black, white, brown, so that the jewelry stands out and doesn't get lost in the background.

On a very serious & honest note...I have seen people NOT color-block or use wild backgrounds and I have seen it (negatively) affect a consultant's sales. It's such a simple thing to do!!
Okay....now to the "nitty-gritty"! Below are pictures of some awesome displays from various consultants. The display I started with is shown in the following video. It costs about $40 for the supplies, but after years, its still what I use and I've only needed to touch-up my paint. (We affectionately call it the "garment rack display".)
Displays can be made with pegboard which you can purchase at your local hardware store such as Lowe's, Home Depot or Menard's. Pegboard is normally in 4' x 8 ' or 4' x 4'.  They are normally either brown or white so you could leave them or paint with spray or roll on paint.  The store will usually cut the pegboard to your desired measurements for free.

Tablecloths are another thing you should have. I use black velveteen material from a fabric store. I've also used a zebra print "wrinkle-free" top sheet too.  You can also find affordable table covers online...it doesn't have to be expensive, but it definitely looks better to have a nice table covering, especially if you store any containers under your table.

Here are some great examples! Click on the pictures for larger views.
(Directions will be added later for some of these.)
Using Foamboard for displays makes them lighter, but they are of course less sturdy and can't hold as much jewelry securely. They are great to use for the Starlet Shimmer little girl's jewelry.

You'll also see in these pictures the plastic strips found at Dollar Tree or other stores. Many of these store throw out empty strips, so ask if you can have them. I've gotten many for FREE!
Headbands can be tricky to display. There is a display stand available in the back office, but there are alternative methods you could explore. Here are a few examples:
Basket Parties are discussed in more detail on the "Parties" page, but here are some great pictures to give you ideas now. They're a great way for your hostess to earn free pieces of jewelry at her convenience and a really easy way for you to make money!
Plastic tubs & containers are a great way to store jewelry whether at home or while transporting to a party or event. Smaller containers can be found for only $1 at your local dollar store.
Misc. Other Display Examples
You'll find more about many of them in the blogs too.  Pinterest and YouTube are great places to get ideas for displays, party and event setups too!
