Hostess Coaching
Hostess Coaching is a vital key to the success of your parties...ALL parties!  Whether online, in a home or at an office,
Hostess coaching is KEY!
I realized the importance of hostess coaching when I asked myself...if I were the one hosting a party for someone, would I know what to do? What to expect? How to get the most people to attend?  The answer was a resounding "NO!" and your hostess probably doesn't know either.  It's not something people necessarily intuitively know and it's YOUR job as the Consultant to assist, help and coach your hostess to success for you AND her!

So here are some proven tips, tricks and methods that can help you learn what to do and what to teach your hostess as well!
1. How to ask someone to host a party? It can be "scary" if it's something you've never done before, but as with anything, practice makes perfect! Until and unless you ask, the answer is always "NO"!  But there are ways to ask that can increase your "yes's".
     - First, share you own EXCITEMENT!  If YOU aren't excited about Paparazzi, why would
someone else be?  Your excitement will fuel the fire for your hostess.
     - Second, if it's someone you already have a relationship with (aka your "warm market"),
just ask. But if it is someone you've just recently met (maybe at an event), build a
relationship and get to know them better.  That lasting relationship can lead to a
successful party for you both, a repeat customer/hostess in the future and in some
       cases a new team member.
     - Third, don't just ask "will you have a party".  Instead of asking a yes/no question, make
it a yes with an option.  For example:  "Hey Jane, I'd love to have a Paparazzi party
with you next month! How about Thursday, the 9th or Saturday the 18th?"  Asking in
that way will usually start a conversation to lead to setting a date rather than a "no"
       response.
     - Fourth, many people today might say they're just too busy for a "home party", so a
great option is to offer a Facebook party.  (That is covered on the Social Media page.)
Almost everyone is already "hanging out" on Facebook after they get the kids fed and
settled for the evening, so why not have a fun party right where they already are!!

2. If you do get an actual "NO", always ask for a referral. Simply ask them if they know someone else who might be interested in getting free jewelry and ask them for their name, number, email or to connect you in some way.

3. Now that you have the date set, you'll want to give them a "Hostess Packet".  There are some sample files for you to use here or you can create your own.  These are the things typically in a Hostess Packet:
     - A letter thanking the hostess with the date and time of the party.
     - A list of what to do leading up to the party.
     - What to expect during the party.
     - Invitations
     - Flyers
     - We do not have catalogs because we have new pieces everyday, so setup a party
through your website for her guests to shop online.  Instructions for creating a party on
your website are in the "back office" under "Resources".
     - Have your hostess make a wishlist from your website for you.

4. What you should NOT do....send your hostess the hostess packet and then disappear until the day or two before the party!
    - Send the initial hostess packet, but get back in touch with her to discuss the packet.
    - As seen on the "Hostess Coaching Checklist", get in touch with your hostess with
instructions for things she needs to do several times during the week prior to the party.
Give her small "bite-size" chunks of things to do each day that should take her no more
than 10-15 minutes.  You don't want to overwhelm her! You want to make it easy for her
AND help her have huge success!

5. Make sure you schedule home parties far enough in advance for invitations to be mailed or handed out to guests.  But also, don't mail or hand out invites too soon or people will forget.

For Facebook parties however, don't schedule them too far in advance.  Even booking them only 1 week away is great so that guests are less likely to forget.
FACEBOOK PARTY HOSTESS COACHING
I will cover more detail on the many ways to sell jewelry on Facebook on the "Social Media" page of our website, but right here we'll talk about Facebook PARTIES.

1. Don't create the party event longer than 1 week prior to the party date.
2. Facebook parties with a Hostess should be PRIVATE with HER guests.  If it were a party in her home, you wouldn't invite every person on the street, so you shouldn't on FB either!
3. Have your hostess invite no more than 50 people (no mass inviting of everyone on her friend's list on Facebook)!
4. Give her the verbiage to personally invite each person individually.  Guests appreciate that special touch.
5. Make daily pre-party posts to interact with the guests and get to know them.
6. Coach your Hostess to interact with your pre-party posts to encourage interaction with the guests during the week BEFORE the party.
7. Consider offering theme parties....they can be a TON of fun for you, the Hostess and the Guests!!
8. You and the Hostess are a team working together toward a common goal of FUN and getting her all the freebies she wants!
9. Make sure the hostess sends PERSONAL reminders to all the guests attending.
10. Spend the week prior to the actual party getting everything ready so that during the actual party you're prepared and have more time to have fun interacting with your Hostess and getting to know the Guests!
